WHAT ARE THE APARTMENTS LIKE?
They are incredible! The apartments are very large, well over 1000 sq ft. The living room is 12 x 18 with a coat closet. The kitchen is a large separate room with a closed door pantry. The hall has two closets, one for coats and one with shelves for storage and also has a built in study desk with individual light. At each end of the hall is a bathroom, one with a tiled shower, the other with a tub. Each of the three bedrooms has it's own locked door, a large double closet with four drawers underneath and a large shelf above.

ARE THE APARTMENTS FURNISHED?
Yes! Very nicely!

ARE THE UTILITIES INCLUDED?
Yes! The utilities are paid, up to $100 per month. Any amount over $100 per month are charged to the tenants of the apartment and are due immediately. Cable TV and trash pickup are also included.

DO THE UTILITIES EXCEED $100?
Once in a while apartments go over, generally in winter months, because they keep the heat too high or don't turn lights off when they leave for college classes.

ARE THERE PARKING FEES OR OTHER CHARGES?
No.

ARE THERE LAUNDRY FACILITIES?
Yes. The laundry is on the ground floor. There are three Maytag washers and three Maytag gas dryers. The laundry is always available.

IS THE BUILDING SAFE AND SECURE?
Yes. Each apartment has it's own lock. Each bedroom in the apartment also has it's own lock. There are on-site managers who live in Apartment C.

IS THE BUILDING AIR-CONDITIONED?
The top floor has a cooling system located on the roof. It is rarely used except in the summer months. The middle floor and ground floor do not get hot since the building is located approx 3 ft in the ground and the exterior is block.

CAN WE CONTRACT FOR ONE SEMESTER?
Not for the Academic year (Fall & Spring Semesters, Aug - April). We do allow withdrawal from the contract for Missions, Marriage, Military or Medical. Each of these require written documentation and only apply to the student, not to members of the students family. We do allow for one semester or block periods during other periods.

IS THE APARTMENT AVAILABLE YEAR AROUND OR JUST FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR?
They are available all year round.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?
No! This is a facility for NON-SMOKERS! We do not allow smokers. We encourage visitors. We want you to make this your comfortable home but we ask you to inform your smoking friends that smoking is not permitted in the building OR ON THE GROUNDS. Our gardeners do not pick up cigarette butts. We will evict for smoking.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?
No.

WHAT ARE THE APARTMENTS USED FOR WHEN THE SCHOOL IS OUT FOR THE SUMMER?
We make them available for people to stay, on a daily basis, for visits to Ephraim and Manti for special activities like the MORMON MIRACLE PAGEANT, family reunions, youth conferences, etc. They are also available for some summer athletic training programs.

HOW CLOSE IS CLOSE?
At Snow there are few facilities more than a few blocks from campus. Even so, the cost of housing varies significantly. For example, the advertised cost of housing across from the College Library is $1800 per academic year. This distance is approx 1/2 block from campus. The cost of housing at The OAK TREE is $1300 when paid in advance. The distance is approx 3 1/2 blocks from campus. A difference of 3 blocks with a difference is cost of $500! Since there are approx 160 school days per academic year, the cost of saving 3 blocks in distance is $3.12 per day! The price you pay for not walking or driving three blocks is ONE DOLLAR per block, everyday! That IS expensive!
